2. Enter the OBC Giving #: 865-337-8373
3. Enter the AMOUNT you want to give followed by keyword TITHE or OFFERING (keyword can be uppercase or lowercase)
4. SEND text
The first time you do this, you will receive a text linking you to a one-time setup form.
– Click the link in the text message
– Enter your contact & credit/debit card info.
– Click the button to “Confirm your gift amount”
Remember to save the OBC Giving # (865-337-8373) to your contacts. From this point on, to make a donation, all you’ll need to do is send a text to the OBC Giving # with the amount you want to give and what it’s for (e.g. tithe or offering). For additional help, please view the OBC Smart Giving video, view the rest of our frequently asked questions, or click here to send us an email.

Level 1 PCI compliance is a set of rules stated by credit card companies and audited by an independent third party. Level 1 PCI is the highest possible rating. Additionally all transmissions are processed via an encrypted HTTPS connection.
What are keywords and how do I use them?
Keywords allow you to specify what kind of donation you are giving. For example, if you are giving a $100 tithe you would text 100 tithe to the smart giving number. Or if you wanted to donate $10 to the B3 project, you would text 10 b3 to the smart giving number. Current OBC keywords are:
- Firstfruit
- Offering
- Pastor
- Pentecost
- Tithe
- AE
- B3
Keywords may be entered in uppercase or lowercase. No spaces are allowed. If you send a text with a mistyped a keyword, you will receive text back a list of all available keywords. New keywords will be announced when available.
What if I send the wrong amount by mistake?
If you send an amount in error, text the word REFUND. You will receive a text back confirming that your donation has been refunded. You have 15 minutes to refund a gift by texting “Refund” to your Smart Giving number, otherwise you will need to contact your site administrator.
I received a message stating that a duplicate donation was detected. What does that mean?
If you send the same amount with the same keyword designation (e.g. tithe or offering) within less than 10 minutes of one another, the system detects it as a duplicate transaction. If you wish to make a second donation of the same amount and same keyword designation, please wait 10 minutes after sending the first donation. However, if you wish to make multiple donations of the same amount but with different keyword designations, you do not have to wait 10 minutes.
Can I edit my contact, credit/debit card or other account information?
Yes. You can edit your information, switch out payment sources, and view your giving history by texting the word EDIT to the OBC giving number (865-337-8373).
Is there a way to see what keywords are available?
Yes. Type the word KEYWORD to the OBC giving # (865-337-8373).
