QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS (Q&A)
I’m not comfortable returning to church yet. Can I continue to be a part of the online experience?
Of course! We encourage you to continue joining us online each weekend until you feel comfortable attending in person. Our weekend worship experiences will continue to be streamed every Sunday on our church website at www.overcomingbelieverschurch.org and on our Facebook Live page. You can also catch the replay on our YouTube site.
Will services have limited capacity?
Yes, we have added additional services since we must limit our capacity. This will help us ensure social distancing in the sanctuary. As the local, state, and federal guidelines evolve we will update our seating limitations accordingly and keep you updated.
How will OBC practice social distancing in its facility?
Chairs have been removed and we are spacing seats accordingly to keep a safe distance between families within the sanctuary. We ask that every individual practice social distancing while in the corridor and common areas.
Will I need to wear a mask?
Every guest must wear a mask as they enter our building and make their way to their seats. We are closely watching local, state, and federal guidelines to ensure all recommended safety precautions are implemented to ensure your safety.
How is OBC cleaning its facilities?
Sanitation Purity stations have been placed throughout our facility. The purity stations are designed to purify the air continuously. You will notice a slight cloudiness in the facility which means that the stations are working properly by circulating clean air. We will also conduct regular cleanings between gatherings to ensure proper sanitation. Additionally, hand sanitizer stations are located throughout the facility.
Will restrooms be open?
Yes, all restrooms will be open and will undergo routine cleaning. However, we will limit the number of people in the restrooms at one time to ensure social distancing.
Will OBC be screening those who attend in person?
Temperature checks and a COVID-19 exposure checklist will be required for EVERYONE attending service (including staff and volunteer teams). We ask everyone to use good judgment. If you are feeling ill or have a family member who is feeling ill, please stay home and participate in our online experience.
Once the worship experience has ended, will I be able to greet my fellow church members?
Yes, but ONLY once you are outside the building. Everyone must comply with local, state and federal guidelines as it relates to social distancing. We must vacate the building immediately so that there is ample time to clean and sanitize for the next service.
Will the Nursery be open for my children?
No. The Nursery will remain closed until further notice.
When will Kingdom Kids meet in-person?
Kingdom Kids will begin meeting in-person in one of our future phases. Please continue to worship virtually with Kingdom Kids via our website. As a reminder, Kingdom Kids meet virtually, every 2nd and 4th Sunday.
I’m new to OBC, how do I get connected?
If you haven’t already, we encourage you to fill out a connection card by visiting OBC Connect and someone will contact you. Please also feel free to explore our church website.
How can I continue giving?
During our regathering services, we will not pass an offering tray; however, our finance team will be located at the sanctuary doors to receive your offering. We also encourage your digital giving. You can give online at overcomingbelieverschurch.org/giving, electronically via the Givelify app or text 865-337-8373.
What if I have additional questions during this time of quarantine?
We ask that you please stay connected through our website. You may also call the OBC Church office at 865-633-9050. We are always happy to help!
