“Destroying the Spirit of Frustration”
This is a season where people are either happy about the holiday season or they are depressed and discouraged about who is not with them now. But we can switch with God. We can give him our frustration and discouragement and He will give us His joy.

Ps27:1-2 “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.”

David is struggling with his own son Absalom coming against him, trying to take the kingdom away from him. David is on the run and he says in this Psalm, even though I am not in the place I used to be, even though I am not in the palace, the Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? David was still the king. Our kingship has nothing to do with where we are but who we are.

Sometimes we cannot control the storms we go through, but we can control HOW we go through the storm. We must go through with our heads up and a praise yet in our mouth. We don’t know who is watching us and how God will use how we go through as an example or teaching moment for others. Likewise, David is going through with his son and we learn from David as he pins this psalm.

David says I am in a dark place. We know what it means to be in a dark place mentality/financially/relationally. David says I don’t know what’s ahead of me or behind me, but I know who is with me. The Light is with me. David makes a decision to go into a praise, exalting God. You don’t have to bring light to your situation. Just ask God to show up and when He shows up He will bring Light with Him. When God shows up, He brings healing/provision with Him. God is Healing. God is Provision. The reward is not the thing you seek. The reward is HIM. So when God shows up, you get everything that is in Him. God inhabits the praises of His people. When you praise God, God shows up and He becomes your light in a dark situation. You will overcome the Spirit of Frustration by pulling on the presence of God. There is no problem that you are going through that the presence of God cannot fix. The Lord is your Light, not your boss/check/Pastor. The Lord is your Light, whom shall you fear.

Ps27:1 “Overcoming the Spirit of Frustration”
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Two lives were saved this week from a spirit of suicide. So many people around this season begin to think about what they don’t have and go into depression. All of us have seasons where we want to give up and throw in the towel. What do you do when you have that kind of depression? The scriptures says we can switch with God. We can give up our spirit of heaviness and He will give us a garment of praise. Jesus said come unto me all you who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest.

1) When you are in dark seasons, the Lord will be our light. David said the Lord is my light and my salvation. When you get closer to the Lord, the light will come. Every few days your life will become brighter and brighter.
2)God is our salvation. Salvation means to be preserved. When a person is drowning, you must let them stop fighting and swallow water before you jump in to help them. Otherwise if you jump in while they are fighting for their life, they will drown and drown you. But when they give up the fight that is when you can jump in and save them. Likewise, God’s seeming delay in helping you is Him waiting on you to “give up the fight” to surrender so that He can jump in and help you in your situation.
3)We don’t have to be afraid. If you are weak God will strengthen you. In the fullness of who God is, He will rescue you and give you strength.

I am the Lord All-Powerful, and I challenge you to put me to the test. Bring the entire ten percent into the storehouse, so there will be food in my house. Then I will open the windows of heaven and flood you with blessing after blessing.
Malachi 3:10 (CEV)

A tithe is one-tenth or ten percent of your gross (before tax) income. To pay your tithe automatically each month, after you click PAY TITHE (below), please select the option to Make This Recurring (Monthly).

Give, and it will be given to you. A good portion—packed down, firmly shaken, and overflowing—will fall into your lap. The portion you give will determine the portion you receive in return.”

An offering is anything that you freely give to the Lord’s work or to His ministers over and above your tithe. To give your offering automatically each month, after you click GIVE AN OFFERING (below), please select the option to Make This Recurring (Monthly).

WHAT IS CAPITAL CAMPAIGN?

Each one of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give. You should not give if it makes you unhappy or if you feel forced to give. God loves those who are happy to give.

If you want to meet Jesus, pray this simple prayer…

I believe that Jesus died for my sins.
I believe that He was buried and rose again on the third day.
I confess with my mouth that Jesus is lord. I AM SAVED!

If you openly say, “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart that God raised him from death, you will be saved. Yes, we believe in Jesus deep in our hearts, and so we are made right with God. And we openly say that we believe in him, and so we are saved.” – Romans 10:9-10 (The Bible, Easy-to-read version)
